Max Wasserman
Audio Producer | Project Manager

It was my first day interning for a local NPR member station, and the instrument in question was a 1,500 pound Carillon.
Since then, I've produced award-winning investigative podcasts covering housing discrimination and the first federally-funded climate relocation in the US. I've also revisited the medical mysteries of the late neurologist Oliver Sacks; pondered the future of space, stuff, and sex for South by Southwest; helped someone reconnect with an estranged family member through a decision coach.
Currently, I produce RVA's Got Issues for VPM and teach a podcasting class at Virginia Commonwealth University. When I'm not working, I'm in the kitchen, outside, or picking up a new hobby (currently woodworking).
My audio journey began while recording a curiously enormous instrument in Seattle.
